He married Ann SINGLETON, 17 Feb 1728 in St Peter, Huddersfield, Yorkshire. She was possibly christened 19 Mar 1703 St Peter, Huddersfield, the daughter of Joshua Singleton christened 19 Jly 1663 Huddersfield (he probably the son of Calip/Caleb Singleton).

He married Mary NUSSEY, 12 Jan 1757 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire. Possibly the daughter of John Nussey.

John Skinner was from Mile End, London, and Elizabeth from Essex. Ann Skinners' siblings were Thomas b 1834 Bethnal Green and Mary Ann, Emma, Phyllis and John (all born Peterborough 1837-50)
