The "Plant Table" is a session in the meeting where the "Plant Table Host", Phil Keane, identifies and discusses the cut flowers brought in by members or guests. This is a useful way to help identify a plant you weren’t sure about, show off the successes of your garden, or just to listen and learn about the growing habit of particular plants, how easy they are to grow, and propagate, etc. Some of the flower stems can also provide useful cuttings for those wishing to propagate the plant.
The Association of Societies for Growing Australian Plants (ASGAP) is the federal body to which each State Society is affiliated. In New South Wales, while we are still known as the Society for Growing Australian Plants NSW Ltd (ACN 002 680 408), we have adopted the name "Australian Plants Society". The State Society is organised into District Groups. Sutherland is one such group.
