The Music Room

Here are a few of my favourite bands.....

I have included some links to chords and lyrics pages that I have compiled, if you want a copy of my archive of various song chords and lyrics click here to download (386k self extracting archive).

I love to play the guitar. I started playing when I was about 16 or 17, and have been at it ever since. Click Sounder here to download a .wav file of me playing one of my favourite songs, Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle" (754 k).

If you've got a second, drop me a line and let me know where you're at, and how you found me!

I have been into the Pixies for about the past 8 years, and I have to say that they are my favourite band. The Pixies are; Black Francis (vocals & guitar), Kim Deal (bass), Joey Santiago (lead guitar & backing vocals) and David Lovering (drums).

These guys really rip! I have been listening to Janes Addiction for years, and was pretty pissed off when they split. But from the ashes rose Porno for Pyros & Deconstruction....Some of Perry Farrell's latest projects.

Ever since I was in high school, I have been a real Cure fan. Robert Smith was my idol, and alot of my teenage years were spent trying to model myself on him.

Another band that I could spent hours listening to! These guys are way cool. Ever since I heard their first album, I haven't been able to stop singing "Dune Buggy". I actually got to see them play at the Palace night club in Melbourne, Australia in August 1996. They were wild! The crowd was going sick.... the gig just pumped! If you EVER get a chance to go and see them in a club like that...DO IT! Being 3 feet from these guys "Kicking Out The Jam" is simply amazing! It was the best gig I have been to in a really long time.

Update: Well, I have to consider myself lucky, cuz I got to see these guys for a SECOND time on Thursday, 18th of September 1997 at Chisholm Hall, Monash University in Melbourne! Again, they were EXCELLENT! They were full of energy, up there having a ball and absolutely rocking! As for their support bands, Jebediah were great, but CUSTARD, well, all I can say is that on this particular night, they SUCKED BIG TIME! They were very loose, making alot of mistakes, messing up their lyrics etc... they were just not into it at all! I mean, they didn't even play any of their well known tunes and just didn't seem to give a shit! :( I have seen them twice before, and they were awesome... hopefully next time I see them (Yes, I'll give them another chance) they will be back to their old selves. Stay tuned for further updates....

What can I say.... the guys in the band seem to be real jerks, but hey, their music is great! Here is another page of Chords and Lyrics for you to devour.... As for the hot links, you're gonna have to do your own search.... Sorry! :)
